Aims & Objectives

The NPORS Rough Terrain Forklift Course is designed to offer candidates the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to operate a Rough Terrain Forklift to NPORS standards (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme)


On successful completion of the course the candidates will receive an NPORS Trained Operators Card(National Plant Operators Registration Scheme). For more info on the scheme, please visit our NPORS page.

All NPORS Tests and training can be delivered at your site or at our purpose built training centre in Blackwood.

Who Should Attend

Anyone who needs to use a Rough Terrain Forklift.

Course Duration

A 1 day ‘test only’ can be carried out on candidates with relevant experience.

Training duration is dependent on the number of candidates, and each candidates previous experience.  Generally a novice candidate would require 5 days training on the Rough Terrain Forklift (this is based on 3 candidates with little or no experience) however this could be reduced with relevant experience.

Face fit to fit

By subjecting each of your employees to a face-fit test you can be sure that your organisation is fulfilling the requirements laid out in the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) INDG 479 and the statutory duties placed upon you under regulations such as the COSHH Regulations 2002.
