We held a fantastic coffee morning on Friday 22 September in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event and to all the staff for making the cakes. We had a selection of cakes from Victoria sponges, blueberry muffins, chocolate cakes to amazing branded green cup-cakes made by our Training Manager, Carys Ackerman.
The staff also wore odd socks for the day, and we raised £202 smashing our target of £100.
98% of the income for the charity comes from voluntary donations from supporters, which is why an event like this is so important to support.
There’s around 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and more than 360,000 are diagnosed every year.
The money raised will go towards:
- Physical support
- Financial support
- Emotional support.
If you didn’t manage to make it on the day, then you can still support this amazing charity by donating on our fundraising page.
