Launch of New Site in Usk to Support Ex-Offenders Transitioning into Employment

Last year, we revealed plans to join forces with HMP Prescoed Prison to establish a site in Usk, dedicated to empowering ex-offenders with the skills needed to secure employment opportunities. Building on our successful training programs for ex-offenders currently in the men’s open prison, this expansion represents a significant milestone in our efforts to support rehabilitation and reintegration.

One such success story is Rickie, who participated in several courses with us and shared his transformative journey. Through completing plant equipment courses, Rickie has not only set himself on a path to change his own life but has also positively impacted the future of his family.

Today marks a pivotal moment as we officially launch our Usk site, with instructor Kieran Murphy already underway in upskilling three candidates. This endeavour signifies our commitment to providing second chances and fostering meaningful change in the lives of ex-offenders.

As we embark on this journey, we extend an invitation to employers to consider offering suitable employment opportunities to individuals seeking a fresh start. Your support can make a profound difference in shaping brighter futures for those ready to seize new opportunities.

For further information on how you can support this initiative or to learn more about our Changing Lives programmes, please contact us today.
